As a Medical Education Manager (Orthopaedic Medical Devices), you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Lead and manage the China Medical Education team and budget to achieve objectives
  • Plan, organize, implement, and coordinate medical education activities, including courses, labs, grants, symposiums, charitable donations, and lectures
  • Coordinate instructional programs for surgeons on surgical procedures and products
  • Manage surgeon visits and consulting surgeon relationships
  • Oversee professional development programs for employees on anatomy, products, and surgical procedures
  • Develop and implement comprehensive medical education programs covering Level I, II, and III HCP education
  • Engage with hospital administrations to integrate medical education into their curriculums
  • Coordinate regional lab requests (e.g., Singapore)
  • Develop and conduct sales training aligned with business priorities
  • Ensure timely and compliant arrangements for HCP travel, accommodation, and meals
  • Coordinate and participate in national and regional cadaver workshops for HCPs
  • Develop educational materials and online resources for surgeons, distributors, and sales representatives
  • Ensure compliance with company and regional policies, and contribute to process improvements
  • Develop, update, and communicate SOPs for the Medical Education department
  • Provide guidelines and support for processing HCP expenses with the finance department
  • Maintain understanding of orthopedic conditions, patho-anatomy, and biomechanics related to product use
  • Serve as liaison for organization and implementation of Surgeon Curriculum Education Training Programs
  • Lead and develop the Surgical Observership Program to advance surgeon skills through reference center visits

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Clinical Medicine (preferred) with 7+ years in orthopedic surgery and instruction (arthroscopy preferred) and 2+ years in supervisory/management roles
  • In-depth knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and orthopedic products
  • Strong communication, teaching, and training skills with experience developing educational materials; professional engagement with HCPs
  • Willingness to travel.
