As a Nurse Educator, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Conduct learning needs assessments to identify gaps and training requirements for nurses and care staff.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate training programs based on identified learning needs.
• Design, develop, or update curricula for nursing staff reflecting clinical demands and best practices.
• Create and implement e-learning materials to support ongoing education.
• Use effective teaching methods to foster critical thinking and clinical reasoning among nurses and students.
• Lead staff development initiatives, including skills upgrading through in-house training, approved online courses, or formal education.
• Ensure continuing professional development programs align with national guidelines and current research.
• Maintain accurate training records in compliance with institutional and accreditation standards.
• Oversee orientation, induction, and preceptorship programs for new staff members.
• Guide clinical instructors to help nursing students meet clinical learning objectives.
• Facilitate student learning environments, monitor progress, and provide feedback to both students and educational institutions.
• Keep written policies current to support nursing practice standards.
• Collaborate with nursing supervisors to uphold clinical care quality and nursing standards.
• Participate in internal and external committees related to education and training.
• Serve as a resource on educational, training, and clinical issues to ensure quality care standards.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Nursing.

Requirements: 

• Locally trained Registered Nurse with an Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, or equivalent preferred.
• Foreign-trained Registered Nurse holding a Nursing Degree or Diploma and Board Pass from the Professional Regulation Council (PRC).
• Registration with the Singapore Nursing Board is required.
• Certificate in Education preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
