As a Senior Legal and Compliance Manager (Fund Management), you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Provide legal and compliance support across all functions of a fund management company
- Review and oversee documentation related to the setup and launch of new fund offerings
- Draft and review transaction documents concerning asset management and business operations
- Conduct cross-jurisdictional legal and regulatory research, advising on implications for fund structures, products, and client profiles
- Lead the structuring, formation, and negotiation of tailored fund or investment vehicles for UHNW and institutional clients
- Manage regulatory compliance and ongoing compliance obligations related to fund management activities
- Advise senior management on strategic legal matters to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Law
- Possess 8–10 years of experience in legal, compliance, or regulatory roles in the financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of legal matters related to fund formation, wealth structuring, portfolio management, and investor compliance
- In-depth knowledge of Singapore’s regulatory framework, particularly in the financial services and fund management sectors
- Proven experience in engaging with regulatory authorities, especially MAS, including handling inspections, licensing processes, and regulatory reporting
- Familiarity with cross-border regulatory regimes will be an added advantage in managing international legal and compliance matters
