As a Genetic Counsellor, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Conduct patient interviews to gather comprehensive medical histories and construct detailed family pedigrees; organize and present relevant medical and genetic information to the healthcare team.

Utilize in-depth knowledge of genetics and hereditary conditions to effectively communicate complex genetic, medical, and technical information to patients.

Recognize and assess family dynamics and emotional responses that may influence patient understanding and decision-making.

Support patients in understanding the medical, psychological, and familial implications of genetic conditions.

Educate patients on available options, including genetic testing, disease management, and preventive strategies, and assist them in making informed decisions through a non-directive counseling approach.

Connect patients with appropriate support resources and provide information about relevant research opportunities within the medical community.

Coordinate the entire genetic testing process, including communication with genetic laboratories, arranging testing logistics, tracking results, and discussing outcomes with patients and their families.
Requirements
- Recognized Master Degree in Genetic Counselling;
