As an Accounts Officer, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Handle day-to-day accounting tasks, including managing the general ledger and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Process invoices, bills, payments, intercompany transactions, and ensure timely reimbursement of petty cash and staff claims.
- Maintain and update accounts receivable and payable, assist with collections, issue receipts, and allocate incoming payments.
- Perform regular bank and clearing account reconciliations.
- Track and record organizational expenses, manage the fixed asset register, and calculate depreciation.
- Assist in preparing subvention and Medifund claims, as well as other government or internal funding applications.
- Support monthly closing activities, including preparing journal entries and audit schedules.
- Provide assistance in GST submissions, annual audits, and tax filing processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Management to support finance operations.
Requirements:
- GCE ‘O’ Level or Diploma qualification
- At least 2 years in a similar role
- Good communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
